About the Author:  Jean L Matus has worked extensively with children all over the world, from South America to West Germany.  Her accomplishments include leadership roles with the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts of America. She has a vast experience with disabled children, as well as those critically ill.  Her work with charitable organizations has earned her numerous accolades.  A native of Washington, D.C. she now lives in Redington Shores, Florida.

About the Illustrator:  Sand Toler's first artistic expression occurred at age eleven, when one Halloween he painted the cows on a neighboring farm the seasonal colors of orange and black.  He is well known in the Washington, D.C. area for his unique illustrations and satirical cartoons.  He lives is Alexandria, Virginia.
